. . . CEPTA 25.09 . . .

assalamualaikum

Team Ariana (i look like a forest ranger rather than a soldier...)
from left: saint, shazam (kneeling), mamba, ninja, kite, t-rex and sami

we got our ass mauled over n over again. seriously, we did better at LOOKING GOOD rather than PLAYING GOOD... but it was ALL GOOD *snicker*

i gotta hand it to The Black Tigers. they really did well. not only were we outnumbered but outskilled. we went out for two times against them n we totally sucked. i got one straight on my cheek n up till today, it still looks like an old pimple. they were the shit to put it frankly. obviously we needed proper training on ever basis, that includes running away properly which i couldnt possibly do without tripping over something or falling over.

for sure i aint doing any sniping for too much from now on unless it involves protecting the bunker or on top of a hill. bolt action is just not suitable for head on combats even if i were to stay at the back. but no worries. its all part of learning. m sure i'll get better (with d possiblities of millions of pellets smashing to my face for the next few years)

one thing for sure is that we did more hanging around exchanging punk ass jokes rather than play. but its all good anyway. for sure everyone will have a good time with team ariana, either beating us in the game or having laughs with us. we r like the daddy of all jokes when it comes to joking around.

after two games with black tigers (we lost in both), a local Swiss airsoft team called Rangers decided to play against us. since we were outnumbered (players n weapons) Team Ariana n The Black Tigers combined to make it fair. i was sure glad they were with us coz apparently all of Team Ariana went bust against the Rangers. they were quick n experienced. n they had awesome artillery. i was having a hard time distinguishing my own teammates n the enemies. i could confirm to you that i shot less than 30 pellets... for the whole DAY. but i managed to shoot one of The Black Tigers (earlier game) and one of the Rangers. so at most i got two which is not bad for a noob if i say so myself.

. . . tools of destruction . . .

assalamualaikum

oh wow... just after a few months (for my colleagues) of playing airsoft, they have gotten really serious. i swear if i didnt knew better, i think we're getting for world war III... or in this case any war will do. shipments of new guns, rifles and equipment came this morning n everyone was eager to get their greedy stubby trigger-fingers on their stuff. especially Shazam whos been asking me now n then if i had received any package when opening the mail box downstairs. i could see him smile with satisfaction upon opening his SYSTEMA gear...

kite's equipment (is my dream... damn him...) he even got a red dot scope (more damnation to him!)

t-rex's equipment... this guy is really getting it on!

kite doing a checklist on the shipment to make sure everything arrives/given out accordingly (notice the white box 'Challenge Kit', that's Shazam's SYSTEMA... quickly disappeared when i tried to get a pic of it. i think he's locked himself in his room trying to piece it together. good luck!)

ninja's equipment... good luck lugging all that at CEPTA!

i havent got anything yet... need more time (more money to be exact!). still looking forward for an AEG, pistol n a sniper rifle. my clothes will be coming in end of this month but not in time for this saturday's game. so far i've only managed to get kneepads n goggles. HEY! safety first!... right? (^^,)

insyallah we r gona b playing with/against the Black Tigers (Filipino Airsoft team based in Geneva)... on equipment basis, we're ready to fight in style! on winning/losing... well, lets just say m ready to whoop-shoot anyone's ass (n get ready for my own as well)

. . . mucking around . . .

assalamualaikum

to escape the gnarly wonders of laundry, i decided to wander off n extend the notorious mind of the saint nawtee out on the streets of Geneva... met one of my colleagues surfing the flea market n we decided to trot hand-in-hand (term of speech) to the old town after having a bite at McD's (in the morning?!)...

we stopped by around Place du Bourg de Four... or as normally as i would say, Old Town. seriously, I've been here for about 10 months yet i didnt have a single clue there was nice historical places... maybe next week i'll spend some time investigating more places of interest.

. . . sniper in the making . . .

assalamualaikum

check this out

i was using a Marui VSR-10 G Spec sniper rifle. looks really realistic eh? its really cool n i love it. belongs to my colleague (codename: Shazam) n he lent it to me for the mock war-battle we had last saturday. i'm telling u, IT WAS GREAT. its like being in the counter strike game. using the sniper rifle (or any weapon with up to 400fps power velocity) i could shoot up to 20 meters... f m not mistaken.

i'll try to get a clip next time with proper introductions to the rifle n how i use it...

. . . painfully exciting weekend . . .

assalamualaikum

my legs feel like its been hammered down to minced beef after two days of workout. yes, i do work my body at times. although i prefer staying indoors n watching dvds all day long... n also the usual sleep n eat all i can.

last saturday i had the opportunity (well, i was kinda pushed into it coz i didnt wana exchange my day of resting for anything) to join my office colleagues doing this kind of war-playing-game activity down nearby some place (f things dont interest me, i dont get all d details...) some sort of like a paint ball shooting thingy. except theres no paint ball or any dirty usage of colors.

m talking abot those kind of games like counter strike... but this is for real (i mean running here n there instead of pulverizing your wrist over the mouse). best part was the equipment. i LOVED the sniper rifle. its so realistic. but they use small plastic balls which they call BBs as bullets. but get hit by it on the forehead, it'll turn out like a pimple on a bad day.

since i dont have any pictures yet from my colleague, m ma let this end quickly but dont worry. once i have em, u cn get the whole story.

ok, so my saturday was done. then comes sunday of course. i was invited by my collegues, Karsay n G3 to hike up Mount Seleve just near the border of France. oh boy was i in for an ass kicking of my life. roughly, abot 3-4 years i havent done anything close to hiking. even climbing the hill at the back of my house in Brunei was so rare.

i still need to find out some info on Mount Seleve. apart from the devastatingly tiring hike up, the scenery was beautiful. well, not really coz the fog was still covering the lowlands so we cudnt see anything from the top. but the top was just enough for me to let loose one's stressful mind. the hike up took about 2 hours or so (NON-STOP!) i swear my legs were about to pop off from my pelvic region f it took another 2 hours. there werent many people going up, either bcoz it was still to early or most probably they took an easier route, by car or by cable car. if i'd known it would cause me damage, i would've taken the cable car. but then again, its foggy so i dont think i would enjoy it that much. plus, the idea of pushing my body to the limit was a good option for me... at the beginning that is...

here r some pictures...

its the only time you see me doing such heavy duty stuff... hehehe. u can the rest through G3's blog.

to be continued...

. . . through the glass . . .

assalamualaikum

How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget.. you don't expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes
Initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You can't expect a bit of hope
So while you're outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what you're staring at is me

How much is real? So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins
Contaminating everything
When thought came from the heart
It never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises
(Null and void instead of voices)
Before you tell yourself
It's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen

I'm looking at you through the glass...
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever
Feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head

. . . feeling pain = being alive . . .

assalamualaikum

aite, i dunno how it is described fully on the process but today it happened that all of the colleagues including yours truly, had to get a 'le grippe' injection this morning.

a perfect time for pain.

so its about a flu prevention thingy, i'll google or wiki it at another time. since the nurses were pretty, i didnt mind what they do to me... probe anything up my a.. backside even, i'm good to go.

every part of my body still aches. not bcoz of the injection. but due to uncontrollable digestion of good food for the past 4 days. urgh. god, having an appetite is never that good. how i clog myself with lots of food, i dont know. i just stuff myself like a thanksgiving turkey. i need a good rest away from food. winter is coming as well so i think it would be hard coz i freeze fast if i'm hungry.

but hey, i still look forward to snow falling from the sky (^^,)

. . . coffee n headaches . . .

assalamualaikum

recently i have been craving for a drink that isnt supposed o be in my system. coffee. i duno. its just all so different here. i'm still not used to it but i keep shoving it down my throat. no, it doesnt mean i wanna be sexy like the french (swiss-french as a matter of fact) here in geneva. national drink maybe? nah. dont think so. n dont let me get started with cheese. ewww...! *nausea*

i chugged down an expresso machiato from starbucks yesterday. work finished early as most of the colleagues were out golfing, i was awake, thinking of what i could do b4 i go to bed... day still young, you know, all those shitty reasons to make you wanna go out n have your own time. back to the expresso. i aint taking that shit no more. gawd that was awful. its either me, or starbucks is taking coffee to a wrong direction by overrating it by a million folds. urgh. i nearly went to a coma of coffee shock. since i was quite macho all over, i ended up having a huge throb at the back of my head. it throbbed so hard i swear i could headbang from the impacts -BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!-

a small comfort, drinking that awful thing with the view of the lake n d jet d'eau (water jet shooting up to the sky). breathtaking n u can feel the soft rush of beauty thru ur face... then it started to get cold n my nostril hairs were starting to feel like icicles. i didnt even dare to pick my nose until after i got back to my apartment n sat near the radiator. thank god d boogers r still intact. hey, i like to pick my nose. its some sort of therapy for me.

after that, it was the usual CNN-book reading-PSP-quick dinner routine. same old-fashioned life. i love it.

wassalam

ps. i'd still recommend any coffee that goes with caramel at starbucks. sweet delight.

. . . Eid Fitri Al-Mubarak . . .

assalamualaikum

before i start my blogpost, i wanna say (in Malay), SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN kepada sekalian keluarga-keluarga (n keluarga masa depan *blush*), kawan-kawan, rakan sekerja... dan sekalian umat muslimin & muslimah di seluruh dunia. mari kita menikmati hari2 kejayaan selepas menempuhi sebulan lama berpuasa menahan lapar dahaga. all the best to you n sadang2 melanggar rumah urang & makan atu jgn sampai menempirit parut meluah dari baju raya. makan utk hidup, bukan hidup utk makan yoo...

aight, on to my blog *caution: may cause involuntary tears, laughter n green stuff running outta ur nose*

no matter how many times i rub my eyes just as soon as i woke up, i was for sure not dreaming. its real as it can get. i wanna slap myself to reality but remembering that its not worth to slap such a cute face, i declined. i did try to click my heels together a few times wishing i was back to Kansas... err, i mean Brunei. but still, its plain ol'freezin my butt crack Geneva. maybe bcoz i didnt have red shoes or it only happens in 'Alice in Wonderland'.

obviously its not hard to tell that i am sad. ever seen Winnie the Pooh sad? yeah just like that, except the main character wears pants, no fur, isnt a bear, has a goatee & cuter than Winnie the Pooh (dont try to deny it...). everything came n went in a blink of an eye... a set of squinty eyes plus another set of eyes (spectacles).

for 24 long miraculous & magical years, i have celebrated this very day, a day of all days, full of laughter n joy where i truly belong, Brunei Darussalam. with an added bonus, Mum & Dad.

i used to think that celebrating away was gonna be fun. you know, no hassles of planning to here n there, no worrying that 20+ car convoys with 15 strong new-baju-raya-clad men n women backed up by tiny screaming packages of agony will come over n flat out ur house in a mere nanosecond... no worries mate. but i never thought of it without the two treasures of my life. regardless of having millions n millions of jabro... i mean friends, it still doesnt beat the sheer excitement of celebrating this day with them.

*oh by the way, Hari Raya Aidilfitri was officially announced on the 30th of September in Geneva*

listening n saying the beautiful Takbir Raya was so fun n excruciating at the same time. no complaints on religion, no no no. not there. only on being alone in a foreign land. fun n excruciating. me, myself n i. consider me an orphan here. blinded by mid-summer-autumn watever sales... beautiful sceneries... but still, alone.

i longed for kissing my parents hands on the beautiful morning of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. mum would be running here n there to prepare our clothes. dad shaving. me still struggling to get out of bed. ah... the memories. n it was just last year! oh god that was fast. stupid of me not to enjoy it. trust me, best things is life comes for free but the most terrible thing is that you wont even bloody notice it.

if you are having ur Hari Raya right now with your family, do make the best out of it... dont make the same mistake i did. a mistake that had to be made whether i like it or not.
