. . . montreaux . . .

assalamualaikum

the gang and i went roadtrippin' to montreaux on sunday to attend a cultural show. apparently there is one Bruneian student, Hakim, studying there on a hospitality course. mind you, Switzerland definately has really good schools on this matter... scratch that, GREAT schools. i can safely say that Hakim is living my dream of studying abroad. though it costs a lot, i wouldnt mind it coz its a great opportunity for me as well as other students who wants to break the cycle.

nda tunggu2 aku ah begambar ah...

i must say we were a tad underdressed for the occasion but hey, i dont even give an eff. my foot is already smarting itself from the previous bowling tourney so i aint wearin no suits coz they just make me more uncomfortable. heck, i'd go naked (not that i intend to). the school was absolutely fabulous. i heard it was actually a castle n transformed into a school. i've studied tourism n hospitality before, but this was a whole new stage of hospitality. it gave me a sparkle of hope to join such tremendous organization.

it was fully packed (i think the inside was rather small so it looks like millions of people were attending). i managed to sit down and talk to Hakim about the things he went thru to get into n also study there alone. i must say, i am proud of him. this goes out to the others, he is breaking the cycle n i'll be damned if others dont like it. do i sound gay? hopefully not coz i aint one. hahahaha... i'm straight and hard. ok ok ok... moving on...

the cultural show was great. there was Brunei (AWRIGHT!... well we combined with Singapore and Indonesia so they named themselves as the South East Asia team) watching our flag on the background was so damn impressive. if i was given the chance, i'd run up to the stage and do my victory-jumping act. but my foot hurts so i declined that option. Africa really made a great show too with all the acting n bootie shaking (boys and girls), there was China, Korea, Thailand, Russia... erm... well there was a few more but i forgot. anyway, they made a terrific show and everyone was entertained. but i apologise to G3 for laughing when his name was announced during the welcoming speech (the guy sounded like he had a premature sneeze... LoLs!) sori hj, nda ku tetahan ketawa tu. nanti lanja kita croissont ah! hehehehe...

then came the moment i was waiting for... BUFFET! i basically went thru (of course) the Asia stand stall where Brunei was included, the sambal belacan was great. two thumbs up! but i totaly pumped my stomach up with the sushi from the Japan stall and also the fish n' chips from the Australia stall. i also particularly liked the Thailand stall as much attention was given to it apart from the Japan and China stalls... i love Thai food coz they're hot n spicy (^^,) well, i would suffer a loss of blood after that, but hey, i'm still alive and kicking! um, probably no kicking for this week but yeah, its all good!

my sunday was absolutely one of the best. to Hakim again, i wish you good luck and hope to hear from you soon. sorry i cant be around for your graduation in June coz i have a full schedule to work on. it was great fun and we went home happyily tired.

wassalam
