. . . back at ground zero . . .

assalamualaikum

sorry for the delay on updates. things have been quick or slow, wherever course it had n may take. i truly had an amazing time going for a less-than-a-month long holiday in Brunei. apparently i gained weight (no surprise there) and i kinda feel heavy. need to do some more walking around... i'm quite proud of my parents coz they remained strong as i entered the departure gates. i didnt cry along the way. it sounds cruel of me to do so. but i have a reason for it. its because i know i'll be coming back soon. i dont like tears. happy tears are welcomed. but like i said, i was really happy even when i left. i know i'll come back again. it will take me a long time but yes, definitely i'm coming back. and for what i'm certain, there'll be good things happening by the time i come back :) just ya'll wait and see.

i do hope the family is safe coz since i came and left, all i hear about is the H1N1 cases. last i heard they were up to the 50-60 counts of cases confirmed. masyallah n nauzubillah, mudah2an sekalian keluarga dan kawan2ku dselamatkan Allah dari penyakit atu. but ujar2nya bapa jua, penyakit bukannya datang dari siapa2. datangnya dari kitani sendiri jua... you all would have to take that in and understand it for urself. i learned it the hard way :) and it was great.

surprisingly i'm doing quite well. it is true that i didnt sleep much during my holidays (how can u when u dont wanna miss a thing) and the freakin jetlag killed most of my working brain cells. good thing KLIA had a hotel so i could have a snooze for a couple of hours to n fro. both KLIA and Schipol (Amsterdam) airport was in fact really cool. yes, probably you i'm such a newbie at airports but in fact i dont even care what you think, coz by far i've never gone to other countries that much. so cut me some slack aite? hehe.

the most funny thing ever (but i'm also embarrassed, sorry mom n dad...) was that i mistook the departure date to be 26th instead of 27th. thankfully the other lot of the family didnt came and were warned earlier of the mistake. i do apologise to my other relatives who came to the house and assist... u can imagine the laughter when they realised i was not gonna fly off on the 26th but tommorrow. better early than left by the airplane, right? WRONG. i nearly missed my flight to Amsterdam. on the 27th. i was at the wrong gate... but the freakin screen had the same flight number! i was lucky enough to realise that the date was wrong so i asked the counter if i missed the flight. my flight was at 2305 hrs and i realised my mistake at 2300hrs... i ran like my life depended on it... good thing it was still there... phew! i kinda blushed when i came into the plane coz everyone was lookin at me... i think i delayed the flight but the pilot said we will make it on time to Schipol... phew... thats like the second mistake i ever made in an airport. last i remember was missing the flight from Nottingham to Geneva. urgh...

its just that i really get annoyed with long haul flights. i wish i could fast forward it in real life. not forgetting to mention the tight spaces that u sit in (try to get the seats next to the aisle. it will save ur life especially when nature calls... plus ur the closest when the food comes :)) i'm fine with babies and kids. i love them to death. but when they start crying for like 6 straight hours, i'd love death. its worse enough that u cant (i definitely cant) sleep in the plane, u have to endure the screams and cries... what annoys me the most is that the parents just let them cry... probably they know they cant even shut them down. oh well. all is fair.

i had a really warm home welcoming when i arrived at Geneva, special appreciation to G3 & family for being at the airport. G3 really scared me when he grabbed my arm from behind. hahaha! and also to Fauzi, sorry that u had to drive during your off days. Allah bless you all. we went to the Badminton Tournament somewhere in Lignon i guess where our team was playing. Our ambassador managed to get the Bronze for Men's Singles (yay!) and i was really happy to hear that we managed to conquer the first and second during the Golf Tournament. i missed it and i do regret bcoz i was really looking forward to become a paparazzi again. hehehe...

eventhough my birthday has passed for like a week or so, its still goin on in Geneva. thanks to colleagues and friends who are amazing and i do appreciate for all the gifts and birthday cake. thankfully there were not many people in the usual pool place so i can bear myself being embarrassed. haha... i cant or more likely, i dont really know how i can show my appreciation to your efforts but know this, u all are in my prayers. Allah bless you all. thank you dearly very much!... apparently everyone has been waiting for me to come back and celebrate my birthday together. sweet of them to do so and again i really do appreciate it. how i wish my parents and the mama bear was around to celebrate them with me. but witnessing the happy faces of colleagues and friends, i have myself a family in Geneva. this is for them, i thank you sooooo very much.

sorry theres no pictures yet. still waiting for them to be sent from Brunei...

wassalam
